One word: bidet! Yes, that little piece of metal that fits onto you toilet will help the planet as well as having many other positive factors.
The average american spends $225 on toilet paper in a year! However a bidet costs as little as $10! This will save you alot of money over you life time. Although you may have to pay a little bit extra for your water, it still costs alot less than toilet roll.
If you wipe with toilet roll all you are doing is simply smearing your poop around your backside. However a bidet clears all of your mess away! This results in a cleaner you!
Using a bidet will also reduce the amount of co2 being released into the air (see below) less co2 will mean that you are less likely to get sick from co2 displacing oxygen.
Trees store lots of co2 but when they are cut all of they trapped co2 is realesed into our atmosphere displacing the oxygen levels in the air which will harm humans and other animals health.
Each year 15 billion trees are cut down at a rate of 50 thousand trees (48 football pitches) being cut down a minute. About 1 billion of those 15 billion trees cut down each year are used for toilet roll. Think about that for a second... 1 billion trees every year just to wipe our backsides. A bidet, however, causes absolutely no trees to be chopped down!
Trees, jungles and forests are home to many different beautiful animals but when we destroy these forests and jungles, we are destroying there home too. Not only their home but alson their food. Once again, using a bidet does not damage any forests or jungles which lets the animals live happily in peace!
Many things require water to be made, from foods to toilet paper! Most people don't realise that a single roll of toilet paper needs alot of water to be produced - 37 gallons of water to be precise. Whereas a bidet only uses 1/8 of a gallon of water!
